Piles
1. Rectal bleeding: One of the most common symptoms of hemorrhoids is bright red blood on the surface of the stool, on toilet paper, or in the toilet bowl after a bowel movement. Internal hemorrhoids are more likely to cause bleeding.
2. Itching and irritation: Hemorrhoids can cause itching and irritation in and around the anus. The presence of swollen blood vessels can lead to discomfort and a constant urge to scratch the affected area.
3. Pain or discomfort: External hemorrhoids can be painful, especially when sitting, walking, or during bowel movements. They can form a painful lump or swelling around the anus.
4. Prolapse: In some cases, internal hemorrhoids can protrude or prolapse outside the anus. This can cause additional discomfort, and the prolapsed hemorrhoid may need to be manually pushed back inside.
5. Mucus discharge: Hemorrhoids can produce excessive mucus, leading to a moist or damp sensation around the anus.
6. Feeling of incomplete bowel movement: The presence of hemorrhoids can create a feeling of incomplete evacuation after a bowel movement.
7. Swelling and inflammation: The affected area may become swollen and tender, especially in the case of external hemorrhoids.
8. Discomfort during bowel movements: Passing stool can be painful or uncomfortable, particularly if the hemorrhoids are inflamed or irritated.
